Were Swimming Strong today with a growth mindset as they went on a Fraction field trip! \u00a0What a huaka\u02bbi it was! \u00a0We began our journey to learn more about fractions by &#8220;diving&#8221; right in! \u00a0Dr. Werner was our special guest as students needed to solve a real world problem.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/kaahhee\/files\/2017\/10\/IMG_9389.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8352\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/kaahhee\/files\/2017\/10\/IMG_9389-300x225.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/kaahhee\/files\/2017\/10\/IMG_9389-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/kaahhee\/files\/2017\/10\/IMG_9389-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/kaahhee\/files\/2017\/10\/IMG_9389-1024x768.png 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/kaahhee\/files\/2017\/10\/IMG_9389.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Haum\u0101na had to solve the problem above&#8230;Was it fair? \u00a0Did everyone get the same amount to eat? \u00a0It\u02bbs all about teamwork as the FISH! Worked in pairs to answer the questions. \u00a0They used what they already knew to push themselves to a deeper level&#8230;right out of the bowl! \u00a0 They pondered, they tried, they collaborated, asked clarifying questions to gain a better understanding, and they tried again!
