Just a little humor as we begin the “swim!”<\/p><\/div>\n

OMG…can you believe it!?! \u00a0It’s already February!<\/span> \u00a0Like I shared with the students, the 2nd half of 5th grade really gets rolling! \u00a0The students \u00a0and I are “pumped up” for the full calendars filled with much learning, laughter, and teamwork! \u00a0Continue to collect facts on your self-selected Makawalu topic every chance! \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0We discussed being “one tree in the forest” and thrive techniques! \u00a0Ask your keiki all about their welcome to Pepeluali makana \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Here’s the week at a glance for you…<\/p>\n

Mon., Feb. 1-Day 6: \u00a0Bring your notes to class from Makawalu project and speeches ready to present. \u00a0Students are allowed to use one index card<\/strong> w\/important points to help while presenting if needed. \u00a0Card should NOT have entire speech on it.<\/p>\n

Tues., Feb. 2-Day 1: \u00a0Speech preliminaries for 5B! \u00a0Adjusted my schedule to gi8ve students an extra day since all of absences from class. \u00a0We select the top 5 students to represent our team tomorrow!<\/p>\n

Wed., Feb. 3-Day 2: Speech Festival Semi-Finals. \u00a0The top 5 from our class will vie for top 2 to move on to the finals…tune in again to see who will represent the 5B FISH!<\/p>\n

Thurs., Feb. 4-Day 3: \u00a0Pheww…we keep swimming!<\/p>\n

Fri., Feb. 5-Day 4: \u00a0Speech Festival at Lunalilo Hale @ 8:00am. \u00a0We invite our finalist ohana \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0LAST DAY for book presentations to meet reading goals for the trimester! \u00a0Don’t forget the vocab! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Just a gentle reminder that students should be adhering to the dress code! \u00a0Refer to page 23 & 24 for a refresher. \u00a0Hair accessories should match color allowed in handbook. \u00a0Pg. 25 also refers to appropriate hair.
