“Marching On” to the end of our Elementary journey!<\/p><\/div>\n

Here\u02bbs the week at a glance, don\u02bbt blink…the weeks are flying by…we are now down to the last 3! \u00a0We are surely swimming strong now as the year comes to a close, no time to breathe easy just yet!<\/p>\n

Mon., May 6-Day 4: Alaka\u02bbi I\u02bba swim upstream today! \u00a0The students will be going to Kula Waena (Middle School) for a brief orientation. \u00a0They will be meeting their future Papa \u02bbEono teachers, their new Principal Mr. Scott DeSa, Vice Principal Mr. Jay Chow, as well as taking a tour of the campus led by middle school tour guides! \u00a0Mrs. Cathy Moran, who will be their counselor next year will be also speaking with them. \u00a0Prepare for summer homework from the middle school teachers!<\/p>\n

Tues., May 7-Day 5: MAP Testing in Reading today. \u00a0Don\u02bbt forget to get a good night\u02bbs sleep and plan on eating a good breakfast! \u00a0H\u0101weo Award luncheon today! \u00a0Ho\u02bbomaika\u02bbi to Tab and Aleiya for leading the way and always putting their teammates first! \u00a0Great example of always kokua…ing the team! \u00a0We\u02bbll have only the 2nd half of Technology specials today.<\/p>\n

Wed., May 8-Day6: MAP Testing in Math today. \u00a0We\u02bbll have an adjusted time for Art Specials today…9-9:45am and our regular time for the 2nd half.<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/a>Thurs., May 9-Day 1: \u00a0There will be a substitute in class today.<\/p>\n

Fri., May 10-Day 2: \u00a0Teacher Appreciation Day! \u00a0AND I SURE DO APPRECIATE YOU!!!! Cannot say it enough how I have been blessed to have such a wonderful class with wonderful supportive ohana in our team this year! \u00a0What a year! \u00a0Can\u02bbt believe it is already May! \u00a0Substitute in class today too, but promise, will be back on Mon., May 13th.<\/p>\n

Heads up for Monday, May 13th…we go on our last huaka\u02bbi to Onekahakaha to do our community service learning project…to help to beautify the beach area of the Honu demigod! \u00a0We will be returning to school in time for lunch. \u00a0More info will be given to students by May 8th.<\/p>\n

ATTENTION PARENTS<\/span>**Our annual Ho\u02bboulu Transition Ceremony will be on THURSDAY, May 23RD<\/span>, please save the date to join us at Lunalilo Hale as the FISH! earn the right of passage to the next level of learning! \u00a0Exact time to be announced at a later date, but it will be between 8-10am. \u00a0 This is a wonderful CULTURAL ceremony that celebrates Papa Alaka\u02bbi\u02bbs \u00a0achievements in education and NOT a graduation<\/em><\/span>…please save the inner tubes, balloons, crowns, and leis up to the top of their heads for 12th grade. \u00a0(Or any other creative expressions seniors do now) \u00a0Mahalo in advance for your cooperation in making this cultural event special! \u00a0A lei or 2 would be great, but let\u02bbs keep in mind the larger meaning. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
