Shaken up Seismographs
After the earthquake in Chile last month wee saw the importance of measuring natural disasters. So we have been building our very own seismographs. Next class we will test them to see just how small of an earthquake they can measure.

We started off the year running and have jumped into so very heavy content : PLATE TECTONICS… ask your child about, seismology, volcanology, geography, and geochronology. At times it may be difficult to explain the boundaries of tectonic plates, but the students have done a great job with classifying and coming together to define what makes a plate boundary.
