Today’s Borrow Me! Fantasy Book – KUMU KAʻIULANI’S CHOICE
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern – “The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.
But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway: a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them both, this is a game in which only one can be left standing. Despite the high stakes, Celia and Marco soon tumble headfirst into love, setting off a domino effect of dangerous consequences, and leaving the lives of everyone, from the performers to the patrons, hanging in the balance.” (amazon.com)

My name is Madison Kobayashi; for my Senior Legacy Project, I am planning to hold water polo lessons that will be available for grades 3-8. More information on this program can be found below and on the attached flyer. If interested, please complete the Google form link below; deadline to sign-up is Friday, 9/20 @ 8:00pm.
About the program:
The purpose of my Senior Legacy Project is to introduce and promote the sport of water polo. Students who choose to be involved in this activity will be able to have an enjoyable experience, that I hope will spark a new interest for them!
Besides the obvious physical health benefits, water polo can also improve social, mental, and emotional well-being. Through these two weeks, students will have the chance to make new friends, develop deeper bonds, and gain a better understanding of water polo.
Lessons will be conducted for a total of two weeks, and will run from September 30th to October 4th, after school; and October 7th to October 11th, with a choice between two different time sessions. Please refer to the flyer for specific information.
The water polo and swim team members swim instructors, and coaches will be assisting with teaching and supervision. All funds raised from this project will go towards the swim team.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at mail to: [email protected]
