Mahalo to the advisories of Mr. Harris, Kumu Prana, and Dr. Day, who provided their service towards the completion of various jobs on campus!  Each advisory earned 300 ‘Apu Lanakila points for their efforts!

MAHALO to “Kumu Kimo’s Killa Kids” for replacing the four-square lines!  Their service earned them Ka ‘Umeke Lanakila points!

Christmas Break Pictures:  The pictures are coming in . . . Share what you did over the break.  To Upload your photos:  Connect to server/type this link – smb://ehstud1/public and open/ look for your Grade Level Drop Box and then folder, “Christmas Break Photos” and drop your photos there.  If you have trouble, just drop them into your grade level drop box and weʻll find them.  The Media Communications class will be compiling the photos to share with our Kula Waena.

ʻOhana Fun Run:
There will be an ʻOhana Fun Run at Shipman Park January 31, 2015.  Registration is at 8am.  Middle school MILE run is at 10am.   This is a FREE event with entertainment, food concession, clothing giveaway, make and take activities and informational booths.  Please wear your PE uniform and bring a water bottle.  The school with the most participants will be given a perpetual trophy!   A Free Formative pass for PE will be given to those who register and run!  Please contact Mrs. Thompson if you have any questions.  [email protected].

Middle School Sports:
Boys Basketball – Practice today from 3:30-5:30 in Laʻamea.
Girls Basketball –  Practice on Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 in Laʻamea.
Golf – Practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course from 3:30-5:00.  Meet at Mrs. Ah Chongʻs room to catch the mini-bus to the course.
Cheerleading – Starts on Tues., 1/13, from 3:30-5:30 at Keaka Playcourt.

Upcoming Events:
  • New Year Dance – Today right after lunch!
  • CAR WASH – tomorrow, Jan. 10 from 8:30 – 12:00 at the Elem. Bus Ramp.  Donations will benefit our Kula Waena students traveling to Japan to attend the Ritsumeikan Global Summit in February.
