Today I individually shared with the students their suggested reading levels given from NWEA, which is the association that provides us with our MAP testing system. Each students’ reading level is given in the form of a Lexile Range in which I also found a conversion chart to translate it into a grade level range. Ask your child to share this with you. This will help students find books that are just right for them to read independently.<\/p>\n
Kumu Kanani will focus a future library lesson for the students on how to use our school’s library database to find books that fit their Lexile Range.
