Blessings

Mahalo nui loa for the many blessings from all of our keiki, makua,’ohana, administration and office staff today!!! We were treated to a scrumptious breakfast with our friends and colleagues, while our makua entertained our haumana.

Throughout our busy days and schedules, we sometimes forget to stop and appreciate all of the blessings we have. We are so lucky for all that is given to us and thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts. Most of all we mahalo ke ‘Akua for giving us the gift of life and all things wonderful!!! HE is truly great!

May Day Reminders

Aloha! The day we have been waiting for is almost here… May Day. It is being held tomorrow, April 29, 2016 and is titled “Ku’u ʻĀina Aloha.” Our program will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. at our Pā Hula. If it rains, it will be relocated to the Middle School Gym, Laʻa mea.

Attire for tomorrowʻs performance is as follows:

Girls- Aloha print dress that falls below the knees; slippers or sandals; Hair pulled back away from their faces

Boys- Aloha shirt with uniform shorts; slippers; hair neatly combed

All students will have a class lei to wear, however, they may wear a lei of their own as long as the class lei is worn on top of it. We hope you can make it to our celebration. It will surely be a wonderful show with beautiful mele and hula!

Hāweo Luncheon

Tatiana’s ‘ohana along with Kamaka’s ‘ohana joined us for lunch today. This special celebration was to recognize these wonderful members of our school community. It is with the support of our ʻohana that we can all thrive here at Kula Ha’a Ha’a!!! Mahalo to our Papa ‘Ekolu friends and families!

It’s Time to SWIM!

Aloha! Last week Mrs. Lee sent home with our haumana a letter regarding swimming during P.E. Please review the letter for details on what to bring to school for swimming class as well as the dates your child will be swimming. Terrific Third Grade ‘Ohana

What a great week back to school after a long vacation! We got to end the week by honoring our wonderful Papa ‘Ekolu ‘ohana at our monthly luncheon. Mahalo nui loa to our Keiki and their ‘ohana for bringing so much aloha and joy to our campus.

Sidewalk Chalk Art

Our keiki celebrated Sidewalk Chalk Art Day by creating designs/pictures of things/people that make their life sweet. We sure do have a bunch of amazing artists here in Papa ‘Ekolu! “Under the Big Top”

Kula Ha’aha’a enjoyed an evening of fun and song as our keiki sang a medley of songs focused on a circus theme “Under the Big Top”. Enjoy this slideshow created by Mrs. Chang which highlights the smiles and happy faces of our wonderful performers.
