Papa ‘Ekolu dressed up in their fanciest attire to attend Papa ‘Ekolu’s Princess’s Ball at The Hilo Yacht Club. This was a culminating event for the 1st Trimester when students learned about Princess Pauahi and how gracious and welcoming she was to everyone. She and her husband Charles did lots of entertaining of dignitaries and children at tea parties, meetings and gatherings that they held at their home. Today the students were able to experience what one of their parties may have been like. Part of the party today included ballroom dancing, which the students learned in music class with Mrs. Debus.
