Rotary Club Donates Dictionaries

Yesterday members of our local Rotary Club visited Papa ‘Ekolu and gave out a dictionary to every student and teacher in 3rd Grade. Our haumana learned that this Rotary Club is a service club that focuses on helping people in our community. By giving out dictionaries, the club hopes to promote and encourage the importance of reading!

Tonight’s homework assignment is a task from the Rotary Club. The students are asked to think about the questions in “The Four-Way Test”:

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

On the worksheet that is being sent home, students need to think of examples of things which illustrate each of the items listed above. They are to write a sentence explaining their drawing and color all of their drawings.

Please do quality work, keiki! If we all fulfill our kuleana, our class will get a Kindle from the Rotary Club. You can do it!
