We were blessed with the opportunity to visit Mama Hōkūle’a yesterday. Our haumāna and kumu learned from the 1976 crew about life on this vessel and the things they used to help them voyage the earth’s great oceans. What an amazing day we had honoring our Hawaiian culture and practices from long ago. Mahalo to all that made this huaka’i possible, especially Ke ‘Akua!
