Upcoming Math Final

We are winding down to the last couple of weeks of the 2nd Trimester. With that, we will end our unit on 2D Geometry. The students have learned lots of new math vocabulary and concepts dealing with geometry such as angles, lines, quadrilaterals, congruency, etc. Here are things that they need to know for their Math Final, which will be administered on Tuesday, February 14th. In addition, IXL skills to practice and master are listed as well. Please review the listed information here as well as completed assignments to prepare for this test. Study hard, keiki!

Skills/Concepts:
* Find the area of a shape and explain how you found it.
* Find the perimeter of a shape.
* Convert numbers from feet to inches or inches to feet.
* Understand the characteristics and attributes of a triangle and a quadrilateral.
* Identify 90 degree angles in a shape.
* Identify angles that are greater than and less than 90 degrees.
* Understand the difference between right, acute, obtuse or straight angles.
* Identify congruent figures
* Identify a figure as being a point, line, line segment, or ray.
* Draw lines of symmetry on a shape.
* Understand the difference between equilateral, isosceles, and scalene triangles.
* Identify lines as intersecting, perpendicular or parallel.
* Understand movement of a particular figure (slide, flip, or turn).
* Draw a mirror image of a figure.
