Remember Cowgirl Peg? She’s that awesome author who visited us back in November. After reading her book Lonesome to the Grade 3-5 classes, Cowgirl Peg asked the students to suggest a new name for Lonesome and write a paragraph explaining why that name is an appropriate one. Today, Kumu Kanani presented prizes to the two winners that were both from 3B….. Kay Leigh Polido and Tatum Rose! Kay Leigh suggested the name “Promise” and Tatum thought that “Hoku” was a good name for lonesome. Congratulations, girls!
