4A: Class Assignments for Monday, Jan. 9

Aloha e 4A!

I’m sorry that I  can’t be with you in class today, Monday, January 9.  I’m with all the other Hawaii campus science teachers working on K-12 standards in science.  We’re working hard and working together to accomplish today’s goals.

Here is your work/agenda for today’s class:

  1. Class Jobs
  2. Watch video about Mini Weather Research Project which will cover:
    1. Poster Requirements
    2. Timeline
    3. Grading
    4. Groups: Hurricanes, Tsunami, Floods, Earthquakes, Tornadoes, Volcanoes
    5. Deciding who researches what questions
  3. Passing of laptops, books, questions sheets
  4. Read this post so you know what is expected. You must comment on this post saying that you read this post. If you do not understand, ask your table mates, the substitute or write a comment for me.
  5. Read and comment on post called “Hau`oli Makahiki Hou 2012” Click HERE to go to it.
  6. Start researching your questions using the provided books and provided web resources. Click HERE for the web resources.

If you have any questions about the research project or blog posts, leave me a comment on this post.  I’ll be trying to check the blog for questions during your class time.  This way I can write you back with answers to your questions and concerns.  Make sure you leave your first name and class, example John 4A.
