The fifth graders spent their science class reflecting and sharing on what electricity means to them. They were asked to write down anything they felt related to electricity. They came up with some great draws, words and phrases that related to electricity. This will lead them to their main activities in which they will be learning how electricity flows and moves by conducting experiments using circuits, batteries, light bulbs, buzzers and other electronic equipment.
The fifth graders are examining ways in which they use electricity in preparation for their 3rd trimester unit on alternative energy and solar boats.
