First graders were working on making observations by watching what happens when adding a raisin to soda. They waited and waited and waited to see what would happen. Unfortunately, the experiment did not work as planned.
We discussed together what could have happened. Some of the ideas the students came up with were: the raisins were old, the soda was old, the soda was not cold or hot, and maybe it wasnʻt suppose to do anything.
If youʻd like to try this experiment at home, all you need to a raisin and some soda. Drop the raisin into the soda and watch what happens. If you do this experiment, leave me a comment on what happened.
