Ever touch the door knob and get a shock? Or maybe you’re sliding down the slide and you reach out for a friend’s hand and you get shocked? That’s all due to STATIC ELECTRICITY. A build-up of electrical charges in your body as your rub your feet over the carpet or slide down. Those charges want to be released in order to neutralize, so that’s when it releases. That release to the doorknob or grabbing your friend’s hand is the shock.
Check out 5th grade as they try to build-up the static electricity through a ballo0n in order to move things.
