In the next few weeks the 5th graders will be working on solar boats. They’ll be exploring ways to design and construct a boat that uses the sun’s energy to make it move forward. They will need to work together in groups to come up with ideas on how to make the boat run and also carry an 8 ounce weight. I’ll keep you posted on their progress.
At the end of the trimester, each student will need to create their own glogster about their experience making a solar boat. Here is an example that I created.
