2: Magical Magnets

As the trimester progresses on, the 2nd graders have been doing a lot of explorations with magnets. They have been given many opportunities to “play” with wand magnets and various other types of magnets. In this time of play, the students are able to come up with questions and wonders about why some items are attracted to the wand and why others are not. They have great questions that they ponder and ask about magnets. In the next few weeks, we’ll be learning more about magnets. We’ll see if they can answer their questions with their new knowledge of magnets.
