Think you got something too small to see? Well, you’ll need a microscope to see it. Ask any of the 5th graders and they’ll show you how to use a microscope. Through videos and discussion the 5th graders have been learning the parts of the microscope and how those parts work. So checking to see how much they’ve learned, students observed tiny plant cells and insects through the microscope. In order to make observations and record it in a drawing, they had to make sure the slide was put on correctly, the light was adjusted, and the focus was sharp. Very exciting class.
