Aloha e 3A Students,

We’ll be continuing our lessons and exploration of the moon by celebrating one of the world’s most memorable events, Apollo 11 landing on the moon. Here’s a video of an interview with Neil Armstrong about his experience being an astronaut, his life, and walking on the moon.

After we’ll be reading a book called “The Moon Seems to Change” by Franklyn M. Branley. We’ll read and discuss why the moon looks different every night.

Classwork:

  • Draw and Write: What did you learn about the Apollo 11 mission and Neil Armstrong? Due at the end of class.
  • Identify the phases of the moon by writing the name of the phases.
