PERFORMANCE TASK

Goal:

Demonstrate understanding of volleyball concepts, proper form and strategy that would be applied during a game.

Role:

Part 1:Volleyball Player
Part 2: College scout

Audience:

Part 1: Sports fans
Part 2: College admissions board

Situation:

Part 1: You are applying to a college and would like be selected to be on their volleyball team, a scout was asked to observe you play to determine your skills and understanding of the game. You must play a volleyball game and apply these skills and concept.
Part 2: You are asked to analyze a volleyball player during a match.  You need to evaluate the playerʻs skills, form, and other components of their performance and share your evaluation to the admissions board.

Performance

Student used a variety of volleyball skills demonstrated via video – underhand serve, overhand serve, passing(forearm and overhead)- which were addressed in analyzing student performance and self-reflection.
