Prompt Students to Make a Copy in Google Docs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes there are these little tips that change your life when it comes to efficiency. \u00a0For example I still remember the day\u00a0I learned about the increase indent tool in Microsoft Word and stopped using the tab key! \u00a0Yesterday I came across one of those little tips that changed my life via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/alicekeeler\">Alice Keeler<\/a> on Twitter. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.alicekeeler.com\/teachertech\/2014\/12\/10\/google-docs-force-students-to-make-a-copy\/\">She shared her blog post on how to prompt students to automatically make a copy from a view only document<\/a>\u00a0which is today&#8217;s Tuesday Tech Tidbit!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s SO easy! \u00a0All you have to do is remove the &#8220;edit&#8221; from the end of a document url and replace it with &#8220;copy&#8221;. \u00a0For example:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">URL to shared document &#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/ksbe.edu\/document\/d\/18Icfck_cQBZ0wIh-Za-1kEez-GV9KzpY5N195QkhSro\/edit\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/ksbe.edu\/document\/d\/18Icfck_cQBZ0wIh-Za-1kEez-GV9KzpY5N195QkhSro\/<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">edit<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Change the &#8220;edit&#8221; to &#8220;copy&#8221; &#8211;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/ksbe.edu\/document\/d\/18Icfck_cQBZ0wIh-Za-1kEez-GV9KzpY5N195QkhSro\/copy\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/ksbe.edu\/document\/d\/18Icfck_cQBZ0wIh-Za-1kEez-GV9KzpY5N195QkhSro\/<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">copy<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Here&#8217;s what your students will see when they open the link that&#8217;s been changed &#8211;<\/p>\n<p
