Mrs. Muranaka is a proud Kamehameha Kapälama “lifer” alumna. She started her counseling career as a youth counselor with Hale Kipa Inc. while attending the University of Hawai‘i at Mänoa. After she earned her Master’s Degree, she worked as a school counselor at Kipapa Elementary School and Mililani High School, and a College and Career Counselors at Waialua High and Intermediate School. She is currently a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership candidate attending Liberty University.

Degrees: National Board Certified Teacher—School Counseling, BS in Family Resources, MS in Counseling, Psychology with an emphasis in School Counseling

Other Information: Mrs. Muranaka has danced hula (competitively and professionally) since the age of three and enjoys going to the beach with her family. Her favorite color is aqua and she loves McDonald’s french fries.
