9 <\/span>K\u016b Mauna<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 an all-day orientation designed to ease the high school transition for freshmen through cultural activities centered on m\u0101lama kekahi i kekahi, or mutual care & trust.<\/p>\n

9<\/strong>\u00a0Freshmen Family Forum<\/span><\/strong><\/span> \u2013 an evening where Gr. 9 haum\u0101na and their m\u0101kua can do a pulse check on their freshmen experience by asking questions, listening to kumu & upperclassmen share their Gr. 9 experiences, & meeting with counselors.<\/p>\n

10\u00a0H\u0101l\u0101wai Series<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/strong> \u2013 quarterly h\u0101l\u0101wai, or \u2018ohana gatherings, to help Sophomores & Juniors understand their respective values of h\u014d\u2018ihi & kuleana.\u00a0 H\u0101l\u0101wai provide timely touch points on respect & responsibility through student speakers, musical performances, engaging discussions, & multimedia presentations.<\/p>\n

K-12<\/strong>\u00a0Sunset on Konia<\/span><\/span><\/strong> \u2013 an opportunity for our entire Kamehameha \u2018Ohana to enjoy a relaxing evening with entertainment & a Thanksgiving message by Kahu Kekoa on Konia Field.<\/p>\n

12 Senior Service Day<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/strong> \u2013 a day where the Senior Class gives back to the community by serving various areas on O\u2018ahu.<\/p>\n

11-12<\/strong>\u00a0Ethics Leadership Retreat<\/span><\/span><\/strong> \u2013 a weekend retreat for selected upperclassmen leaders to produce a plan of action to remedy a certain ethical issue (or set of issues) on campus.\u00a0 The plan of action is then shared with Administration.<\/p>\n

9-12<\/strong> K\u016b Mauna Leadership Retreat<\/span><\/span><\/strong> \u00a0<\/strong><\/span> – a weekend retreat for selected Student Alaka\u2018i in Gr. 9-12 who are trained to assist facilitators at K\u016b Mauna.<\/p>\n

9-12 Cooking for the Homeless<\/span><\/strong>\u2013 a monthly service provided by Character Education in collaboration with the Tree Huggers Club.\u00a0 Haum\u0101na & Kumu meet at the Church of the Crossroads the first Saturday of every month to cook for the homeless.\u00a0 The meal is then delivered to IHS (Institute of Human Services).<\/p>\n
