{"id":527,"date":"2011-08-15T23:32:13","date_gmt":"2011-08-16T09:32:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogsksbeedu.wpenginepowered.com\/castack\/?p=527"},"modified":"2011-10-19T14:21:55","modified_gmt":"2011-10-20T00:21:55","slug":"third-graders-begin-preparing-for-skyping-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/carichar\/archives\/527","title":{"rendered":"Third Graders Begin Preparing for Skyping Project!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week the third graders began preparing for their upcoming Skyping project called &#8220;Chat Across the USA.&#8221;\u00a0 Each third grade class will have the opportunity to Skype with other third grade classes from around the United States.\u00a0 During our Skyping project we will learn about other communities and share our own community and Hawaiian culture with others.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This week the third graders were able to watch some videos of last year&#8217;s third graders Skyping.\u00a0 We also tested our geography skills and tried to find some of the states we are going to be Skyping with on an interactive United States Map.\u00a0 Would you like to try it, too?<\/p>\n<p>You can use the zoom tools on the left side of the map to zoom in and out, as well as travel East, West, North, or South. Can you find Florida? How about Maine? Or New Jersey?
