Personal Experiences:
The biggest joy in my life right now are my two children. I have one little girl, named Janessa, who is 13 years old and a little boy, named Branson, who 11.5 years old. I have a wonderful husband who works really hard as a pastry chef at one of the hotels in Wailea and does many side jobs as a carpenter on the weekends.
Educational Background:
I received my AA in Liberal Arts at Maui Community College on Maui. I have received a BS in Natural Science and a minor in Biology from University of Hawaii at Hilo. I have a Masters of Arts in Charter School Educational Leadership. I have a Masters in Education with focus on the National Teaching Certificate. I have been teaching in Hawaii for about 15 years. I have taught high school Math at a project-based charter school. I have taught Connected Mathematics Program (CMP) to 7th graders in Kihei at Lokelani Intermediate School. I am currently teaching Algebra II here at Kamehameha Schools – Maui Campus. I was the Class of 2016 Advisor.
Hobbies and Interests:
I love going to this amazing park in Haiku with my children and just running around with my daughter and son. I spend a lot of time at the beach building sand castles and running back and forth in the water. I love to read, but do not seem to find the time to be able to do this activity.
