CE&amp;R builds strong relationships, brings strategic intention to understanding of community strengths and challenges, and seeks opportunities for collective impact thereby ensuring improved capabilities and well-being of the l\u0101hui. The group balances statewide, systemic strategies with focused community-based regional portfolios of action in order to achieve maximum outcomes for Native Hawaiian communities and \u02bb\u0101ina.<\/p>\n<p>CE&amp;R\u2019s core operations and functions include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regional portfolios of education programs and community investing collaborations,<\/li>\n<li>Stewardship of 360,000+ acres of agricultural, conservation, and rural mixed-use lands,<\/li>\n<li>Education and \u02bb\u0101ina advocacy, collective impact initiatives, and statewide partnerships,<\/li>\n<li>Operation of community-based resource offices, learning centers, and \u02bb\u0101ina-based facilities,<\/li>\n<li>Engagement with the Network of Native Hawaiian schools and other key systems partners, and<\/li>\n<li>Planning and strategy for \u02bb\u0101ina, water systems, facilities, and sustainability initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HAWAI\u02bbI ISLAND FOCUS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Community Engagement and Resources group of Kamehameha Schools is responsible for the management of Kamehameha Schools&#8217; assets in nine regions across Hawai\u02bbi. Moku o Keawe is separated into two regions, East Hawai\u02bbi and West Hawai\u02bbi. The East Hawai\u02bbi Region is a dynamic space for integrating and leveraging Kamehameha and community assets to promote Mauli L\u0101hui.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We envision generations who walk into the future with confidence in their cultural identity and a commitment of service to akua, \u2018\u0101ina, and each other.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>N\u0101 Honua Mauli Ola (NHMO), Second Edition<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0In order to strengthen the Mauli L\u0101hui, we, the East Hawai\u02bbi Region, embrace the <strong>kuleana <\/strong>bestowed upon us by Pauahi to steward her resources into perpetuity. Standing on a foundation of <strong>ha\u02bbaha\u02bba<\/strong> and <strong>aloha<\/strong>, and in one voice, we will continue to seek ways to enhance the Mauli L\u0101hui through applying the tradition of ancestral excellence and innovation in all that we do.
