Beginning Our New Year

Aloha e nā ʻohana!

Friday was our first full day of school and we had so much fun together!  Our keiki are getting to know one anotherʻs names and are making new friends and renewing old friendships.  It has been so nice to see our big buddies mentor and care for our little buddies!

This week we will continue to work in our Centers and will introduce some new rules for Center Time.  We will talk with keiki to determine how many keiki should be able to play in each enter without overcrowding.  Keiki will then need to obtain a “clip” (clothespin) for the center they would like to play at to show that it is their turn to play.  When leaving a center, keiki will be responsible (kuleana) for cleaning up their area and exchanging their clip for a new one.

I have posted our September Calendar and Newsletter and will be sending home copies this week.  Have a wonderful Monday!

Me ka haʻa haʻa,

Ms. Dana
