This week we will celebrate Thanksgiving with our families. Last week we read about the very first Thanksgiving celebration. When you think about your life, what blessings are you thankful for?

Last week we were fortunate enough to have Inspector Akaka, Inspector Gipaya and Aunty Lani provide us with a wonderful fire safety presentation. What did you learn that you think is important to remember? What is going on in the picture to the right? Why did we practice this?

Today you had an opportunity to experience the wonderful storytelling of Karen Hackler. She shared the stories of Maui and The Flying Taro with you.  Then you worked in teams to dramatize the forming of an island. What did you think was the most interesting part of the experience? What did you think was the most difficult part? What would you do differently next time?

Today we talked about how important it is to WONDER and be curious about the world around us.  Last week when we read about the record-breaking pumpkin that Christy Harp grew, we started to wonder about a lot of things.  We’re working on trying to answer our questions about Mrs. Harp’s pumpkin, but now I’m wondering, what else do you wonder about?  Why?  Share some of your “wonderings” here!
