It’s the first week of school! The children are learning routines and touring the campus. Most enjoy Melody, the bunny puppet, who likes the book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
Please note that mail is coming home this first week. Each child has a blue star to attach to the sign which is placed on the dashboard for car pickup. This star enables us to more quickly match the child up with the parent in the pickup process. There are reminders about water bottles and birthday celebrations. There is also an order form for Scholastic books. Please do not feel obligated to purchase books. However, if you’re interested, it’s very easy online these days. You can, as well, order by sending in the order slip with a check. This book order is due on August 19.
Remember to send the name tag and folder back to school each day. Also, please send a jacket or sweater for your child’s use in the classroom. Some children have already found the need for that extra warmth.
My son is loving your class. He had a lot to tell me on the first day. He was especially fond of Melody and the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. He also was raving about the school map he had on the back of his HW folder. I can’t wait for Open House!
