  1. Kyla Nitahara Says:

How can you join the JEM club. I am in Mr. Chung’s class and we just watched The Eleventh Hour and now I’m really concerned. How do I join?

  2. shkahue Says:

Glad you’re concerned about the environment! You will be able to join the JEM Club by attending meetings and getting involved! The JEM Club started last year and we plan on continuing our meetings and projects. We are having difficulty setting a meeting time. There are so many other activities going on before and after school and recess is too short to have meetings, so we’re trying to work something out. If you have any thoughts, please share them. As soon as we decide on a day and time, we’ll get the word out and we will be able to begin our meetings. Mahalo and can’t wait to get started!

Looking forward to having you and other committed students getting involved in JEM. Thanks, Kyla!

For the bake sale, can I put seaweed bonito inside musubies?

  6. shkahue Says:

That would be fine. We’ll make sure we let the students know that it’s added to the musubi. Once we get the approval, we will be able to begin with the posters!

    Aloha AJ,

Glad you were able to find us! This is Kamehameha Elementary School’s site (Honolulu, Hawaii) and it looks like we’ll be meeting you in a few weeks. We will be taking a group to the 2009 Earth Summit and are looking forward to an incredible experience. Your school sent a group of students to visit us last year! See you very soon!
