I’m just loving these moments when I get to read aloud a good book to my students K-5; a wonderful book that ties in culture, life-lessons, and the true meaning of LOVE♥. Love for ‘ohana, the ‘aina, people and animals. In my opinion, this book would be a winner for the Caldecott Award. The illustrations are beautiful! If ever you have a chance to read this lovely book, please share with me your thoughts, insights of the characters, and what you learned from this tale.

Librarian Tweet!
I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing all of the beautiful illustrations! From this book I learned that if you do good on to others they will do on to you. Just like the golden rule. My favorite character is Grandfather Tasi. This is because he is very wise and cares for all living creatures.
Aloha e Saige!
Mahalo for sharing your mana’o about the book Tasi’s Gift. Like you, I too love the beautiful illustrations. Yes! The Golden Rule is a special rule that we all should live by.
Mahalo Nui,
