Third Grade Research Project: Birds of Nani Ke Ao Nei

Here is a place where you can learn more about the birds of Hawai`i. Our third grade students are learning how to be good researchers. They are researching the Hawaiian birds in our Nani Ke A`o Nei mural. The mural is located in front of Hi`ilei Media Center. Students are using the website links to gather information about each bird. Please feel free to join the blog to talk about the specific bird or commenting about the website link.

thank you for teaching me how to take notes. If you didn’t I’d still be typing the whole sentence! My mom Mrs Melchor works here. My brother Makana is in Mrs Fruta’s class

Hi Mrs.Redona:) thankz for helping me in library class/tech class. I enjoy reaserching and when I reaserch at home on my computer my brother thinks Im crazy. Well thankz for teaching me!:)

You are a true research detective! I think you’ve got the “research bug”. You love learning and you enjoy researching! Good for you! Remember you have a whole cycle to complete the notes, paraphrasing and drawing. Space out your time, and make sure you sleep early. Sleep time is healthy. I’m so proud of you for working on your research!
