Service Learning Projects 2012 (Working Progress)

What is Service Learning?

Students brainstormed different thoughts and ideas about service learning. The picture above was the foundation to their service learning project.

Throughout the school year students have identified different issues that affect life in Hawaii. They researched their topics, brainstormed ideas to make a difference in these issues, and have started to TAKE ACTION!

In their teams, students are becoming advocates who will educate others through their digital presentations and hands-on approach. A few groups will invite guest speakers to share more about their issues.

Here’s a review of project groups, but stay tuned because more information and pictures from their presentation are coming.

Presentations are May 9 and 10, so come back and checkout this blog on May 10.
