In class students went treasure hunting for poetry!! Students found A LOT of exciting and wonderful poems that they felt should be shared with everyone. Next we heard how poetry is read with expression and beat from famous poets around the world!! Then students choose one poem to read with expression, choosing just one was challenging for students because they were all good!! In class, we created a list of expectation for reading with expression, students practiced independently, and then they shared their poems with their poetry group. Based on their rubric, each group choose 1 representative. Here are those finalists.
