Our Values

Kawaiahao Church
Kawaiahaʻo Church, Pauahi’s Place of Worship, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
Kamehameha Schools is grounded in the Christian and Hawaiian values embraced by Ke Ali‘i Pauahi. These core values are aloha (to have compassion and empathy); imi na‘auao (to seek wisdom); lama (to care for and protect);ike pono (to know and do what is right); kuleana (to take responsibility); ho‘omau (to preserve and perpetuate); and ha‘aha‘a (to be humble).

The Hawaiian cultural values of aloha, mālama, and kuleana are an integral part of your child’s preschool learning experience. KS strives to nurture these values while continuing to provide a learning environment that is safe, educational, culturally-grounded, enjoyable and enriching.
