Uncle N8's Workshop

This is by far the coolest app that I’ve ever come across for the iPhone yet.  Recently the designers at Apple release the latest iPhone the iPhone 3GS.  The biggest difference with this new phone was that it had the ability to record video, leaving all 3G owners hoping for more.  But now the table has turned and the software developers at qik have created an app to level the playing field.  Before, to get video on an iPhone it would cost you roughly $400 with contracts, transfers and hardware (iPhone 3GS).  But now in your iTunes App Store you can “Qik for iPhone” for $1.99 giving the 3G owners the same ability as their new 3GS counterparts.  In looking at all the reviews Qik is rated 5 stars and is the most recommend video app out there.  Check it out.

Here’s the greatest Productivity App for the iPhone that I’ve come across in a long time.  With this app one can turn their mobile device into a remote mouse, keyboard, and number pad.   Complete control of your computer via Wifi thru this app.  Its works great and only cost $1.99.   Learn more about it at:

Mobile Air Mouse

On October 14, 2009 we launched our 1 to 1 Laptop Program at the Kapalama High School.  With the introduction of the computers, the classroom environment has changed forever.  No longer is the information that we learn with limited to the textbooks, but rather the sources of information are now limitless.  The role of the teacher has gone from the sole source of information to the information guide.  The learner can now explore worlds beyond the classroom and meet actual primary source individuals or see actual videos of current and historical events come to life on their computer.
