Kumu M. Kaho’okele Crabbe

Greetings to all who speak ‘ōlelo Hawai’i, the prized language of the land, greetings with the love of Iesu Kristo.  From the rising of the sun at Ha’eha’e to its’ beautiful setting at Lehua, this is a greeting of love and compassion to everyone, greetings!  Once again to our elders, our parents and our younger ones, a new school year has arrived and the fun and laughter of summer is slowly slipping away.  One beautiful thought about this new year is that it is the 125th anniversary of the Kamehameha Schools.  It is somewhat known that the original school was founded at Ka’iwiula in 1887, and the present site of the school is at Kapālama, the central point of the school these days.   Then, in 1996, two new Kamehameha Schools campuses opened, one at Pukalani, Māui and the other at Keaukaha, Hawai’i.  Today, Kea’au is where the Hawai’i is located.  In 2001, the Middle School at the KS – Kea’au campus opened.  The following year, the Elememtary Campus opened.

Once again, much greetings and love to all of you this new school year and may the love of our Heavenly Father remain with each of  you.

Much love,

Kumu M. Kaho’okele Crabbe
