About Melia…

“The right thing to do never requires any subterfuge; it is always simple and direct.”
Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933); 30th Us President

Welcome to my blog! My name is Melia Abreu and although I serve as a Mentor Teacher/Instructional Coach, I also teach a course called Explorations in Education, an elective course designed to entice high school students to enter the education profession.  In my tenure at Kamehameha High School-Kapalama, I have taught a myriad of different courses and have learned the importance of “Aʻo aku, Aʻo mai”, the Hawaiian view of being a teacher and learner at the same time.  Please feel free to contact me at anytime at metauvel@ksbe.edu if you would like to collaborate or follow me on Twitter @meliatauvela.
