Welcome to my blog! My name is Melia Abreu and I have served as a Mentor Teacher, Instructional Coach, Instructional Technology Resource Teacher, and more importantly, a high school teacher for the past 13 collective years. I am currently the Blended and Online Learning Educational Design Specialist at Kamehameha Schools and have learned the importance of “Aʻo aku, Aʻo mai”, the Hawaiian view of being a teacher and learner at the same time. In my journey to learn more about program design and blended and online learning environments that honor culture-based education and 21st century skills in K-12 education, I am also currently pursuing my EdD in Educational Leadership for Urban Settings through University of Southern California and am on my journey to developing more into the leader I want to follow. Please feel free to contact me at anytime at email@example.com if you would like to collaborate or follow me on Twitter @meliaabreu13. Looking forward to meeting you!
