I am Mahina Yahiro (M.Y.) graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 1996 and pursued a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree at Barnard College in New York City. My major was in Environmental Science and a portion of my college career was spent in Tucson, Arizona studying at the Biosphere!

I returned to Hawaii in 2000 and slowly discovered that I had a passion for teaching and began to pursue my graduate degree in Secondary Education at Chaminade University.

Married in August of 2004, I then became Mrs. Yahiro-O’Neill (a.k.a Mrs.YO). Radford High School was my first full teaching line and then I joined the teaching staff at Kamehameha Schools in 2007 as a Biology teacher. In 2008 I became apart of the Student Support Center staff and enjoy enlightening and encouraging students.
