E Komo Mai!

Aloha e na ‘ohana,
We have created a website to invite families to get a glimpse of what their keiki are learning in our writing classes.  Please visit their class page by clicking on their school and grade level on the right or on the drop down menus above.  You are also welcome to visit the other grade levels.

Our goal is to create an intellectually safe and fun environment for the keiki to take risks.  We strive to nurture inquiry and encourage the keiki to become self-directed learners.  We focus student learning on the writing process and integrate Hawaiian culture with best practices in literacy and critical thinking skills.  It is our hope to build their self-confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and collaborating skills so they may become productive members of their community.

Please feel free to share this website with extended family, friends, or others who care about your keiki and would like to know what they are working on in school.  You may also leave comments for us to share with your keiki.

***If you are having trouble viewing or reading student work, click on the work.  It will take you to a new page that looks like a bookmark, click on that and it will enlarge the pictures/text.***
