Aloha Week Floral Parade<\/h1>\n

September 24, 2022<\/h3>\n

We were so proud of the KSCC at the Aloha Week Floral Parade yesterday!\u00a0 They definitely shared a lot of joy and energy not only on the route, but even before the parade even started!\u00a0 It was also so nice to see new choir members and their \u2018ohana along the parade route waving and saying aloha!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Coming up for the choir is our Mini-Camp on Thursday, October 13th<\/sup>.\u00a0 As mentioned at our parent meeting, it will be an all-day rehearsal from 7:45-2:30 p.m.\u00a0 Drop off and pick-up will be at the music room. Please make sure your child has a good breakfast and a good night of rest before.\u00a0 We will be learning a lot of songs, working hard, building pilina, and having fun as well.\u00a0 We will be feeding your child snack and lunch.\u00a0 Please have your child bring a water bottle.\u00a0 Attire will be their usual KES uniform and shoes that they wear to school every day.\u00a0 Any color KES polo shirt is fine.\u00a0 As stated at the parent meeting, if your child has a conference during the day, they can leave for their conference and then return to our mini-camp once it is finished.<\/p>\n

Friday, October 14th<\/sup> is the RHB Concert at the Hawai\u2018i Theatre.\u00a0 We will be meeting at the music room at 2:30 p.m.\u00a0 Please have your child bring their KSCC uniform and shoes in a garment bag or plastic bag covering.\u00a0 Please have your child come dressed in their regular KES uniform royal blue kes polo<\/strong> and uniform bottom.\u00a0 We will be leaving their things at the music room and then bussing them down to the HI Theatre at 2:45 p.m.\u00a0 We will be having a mandatory dress rehearsal and our only rehearsal with the RHB from 3:30-4:45.\u00a0 We will be returning to school to eat, dress and prepare for the concert.\u00a0 If your child has food allergies, you may want to pack a dinner for your child.\u00a0 We can keep it cool if needed.\u00a0 We will return to the Theatre for the concert at 7:00 and we are performing just before the intermission as well as the finale.\u00a0 If you are attending the concert, we will let you know where the pick-up of your child will be. If you are not attending the concert, we will have a bus returning to school.\u00a0 Pick-up at the school will be around 9:45 p.m.\u00a0 We are hoping the KSCC uniforms will be done for all the new members.\u00a0 Please don\u2019t forget to get your white pumps (girls) or white shoes, belt and socks (boys).<\/p>\n

Island Energy has been so generous year after year in donating new KSCC garment bags to the KSCC.\u00a0 I can\u2019t express how thankful I am year after year that they do this act of kindness and generosity.\u00a0 We are currently having them being made and we are hoping it comes in before our concert on October 14th<\/sup>.\u00a0 We will let you know when they arrive.\u00a0 They are to be used whenever we have to bring our uniforms to school for performances.<\/p>\n

Thursday, November 3rd<\/sup> the Hawai\u2018i International Film Festival will be having the opening night of the movie \u201cThe Wind and the Reckoning\u201d at the Bishop Museum.\u00a0 This is an added concert.<\/em>\u00a0 We don\u2019t know all the details yet, and it may be a select group of choir members, but there will be information forthcoming. The KSCC had the privilege of singing on the soundtrack of this awesome movie, and we will have the honor to sing at the opening of this movie in Hawai\u2018i.<\/p>\n

Friday, December 9th<\/sup> is our CD release concert at Ke\u2018elik\u014dlani Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.\u00a0 The first half of the concert will be a Christmas musical done by 6th<\/sup> graders involved in the Passion Pathway class.\u00a0 After intermission will be our CD Release concert involving the entire KSCC. The KSCC will be staying afterschool and we will be bussing them up to the auditorium for a rehearsal and sound check.\u00a0 We will be feeding your child snack and dinner.\u00a0 Please have them bring their uniform to school in their garment bags.
