Welcome to Puulu Kukui, Class of 2019

FirstDAYk19 - 69Welcome to the 2014-15 school year.  On behalf of all the kumu on Puulu Kukui, I wanted to take an opportunity to welcome you to this blogsite and to our team.  We will be using this site to post events, updates and happenings of our team throughout the year.  The first week of school was filled with activities and lessons that introduced students to our 8th grade team, our classes and our themes that we will focus on this school year.  The school spiritual theme this year is Good and Industrious.  On our team, we will focus in on the school theme using the concept of “Find the Warrior in You.”  The first project of this yearlong interdisciplinary unit is a Real Life Warrior project. The Real Life Warrior poster is due on Monday, August 18.  Other events of our first week included: Kumu on Parade, Kukui Ninja Warrior Challenge, distribution of the student laptops and a welcome dance.  We are all looking forward to a wonderful year together.
Aloha, Kumu Terai
