CURRICULUM FOCUS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students will independently use their learning to demonstrate <\/strong>their understanding of Biblical truths.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the sixth grade, the haum\u0101na design the Christian education curriculum. They anonymously post online their questions about God, Jesus, the Bible, life after death, etc. Then the Chapel Team, Christian leaders in the sixth grade, look over all of the questions and put together nine topics that the haum\u0101na want addressed in class. The Bible is the primary resource used in class and when we address our questions and doubts, we often develop a deeper, more authentic faith.<\/p>\n

On our Christian Education blog,\u00a0http:\/\/blogs.ksbe.edu\/anyoung\/<\/a>, the haum\u0101na can read the Bible stories from the Old and New Testament. They can also listen to songs that we sing in class and at Chapel. On their laptops, they can read and interact with the various Bible stories.<\/p>\n

Every Friday we have 4th-6th grade Bible Club. It begins at 7:05 and ends at 7:35. All are invited to attend. Keiki are allowed to eat their breakfast in our room\u00a0and participate in the fellowship and the fun. This year we are learning and growing in our relationship with God through Bible games, videos, and other fun friendship building activities.<\/p>\n

Prayer is an essential part of our curriculum. At the beginning of every class, we pray out loud for one another. God graciously answers our prayers. This year our spiritual theme is \u201cIke piha\u00a0\u02bbia a Aloha piha \u02bbia\u201d\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Fully Known, and Fully Loved.\u00a0God\u2019s Aloha pau\u02bbole \u2013 His never-ending love – is woven through all that we do in Christian Education.<\/p>\n
