When working with images, always move them to a canvas

Create Clipping Masks
- for text, image on top
- for shapes, will clip in black only, image on top

Layer – new adjustment layers – need to clip
- Levels control lighting
- Hue/Saturation – amount of color and hue
- Channel Mixer – change to black/white

Selection tool
- click hold for rectangular or ellipse
- select refine edge – for control of edge

Layer masks
- d- to get black and white
- make layer mask, select it
- use brush or gradient b/w
- black shows back or hides front
- white brings back front

Layer linking
- have layers that you want to link on top of each other
- select them, using apple or shift key
- right click link, this will lock them together

Hawaii Project
- min of 3 images, letter, @300 ppi
Must have
- Layer mask using brush
- Use of gradient layer mask
- Adjustment layers
- text clipping
- shape clipping
- use of layer blending options
- use of opacity change
- feathered edge
