Project 2 – Pool Quicktime SlideShow Movie
- using ONLY your 10 favorite pool shots
Using PhotoShop
- you can crop them
- you can take parts of the pictures
- you may have more than 10 pictures
- Need to resize all to 72 ppi
- Resave as jpegs with new names
- make a new folder named pool movie
Open I-Photo
- First make a new folder, name it Pool Shots
- Click on the folder, now drag the folder named pool movie into this
- all pictures should have been imported into your Pool Shots folder
Open I-Movie
- Create new project, name it…… (your choice)
- Click on the media tab, i-photo tab, and drag your photos on the timeline
- Ken Burns effect
- Use of filters
- title
- credits at the end
GarageBand Music or bring in your own appropriate cd

- Complete Collage
- Check with group on duplicates
- Name the file with your first name, group number, make a psd
- Flatten and save as a tiff
We will go over printing
- make a folder and duplicate 10 of your favorite pictures from the pool folders

Your pool collage must have the following:
- construct at letter size paper at 240 ppi. rgb color mode
- title
6 pictures arranged with the following crops:
- 3 pictures at 3×4 or 4×3
- 1 pictures @ 4×4
- 1 picture @ 3×5 or 5×3
- 1 picture @ 4×6 or 6×4
Pictures will overlap each other, plan for arrangement
Naming and saving file
- use your first name-p1-final
Save file as a psd
Save file as a tiff
Put tiff in the drop box, due on Thursday, Aug 9
Print file as a class project, going over how to print

Technology Use
- must be supervised, agreement on Student Technology Use Guidelines
- all students have a username and password to log on to computers
- all students have an email account and KS Connect access
- all students have an account on the server to store files, cannot access from home
- students should have their own media to move files from school to home
- Microsoft Office is used on campus
- internet is filtered but it is not 100% foolproof
- internet use will always be monitored
KS Connect - http://connect.ksbe.edu
- used to communicate student’s assignments/grades to parents
- parents need an email account and to register their address
- will be emailed user information and password
- Progress Reports have not been activated yet, information to come
