Emerging Tech Fund

Did you find a new tool that you think will be great for personalizing student learning outcomes? Got a gadget that will be perfect for gathering and analyzing data in the field, instead of having to wait until you get back to the lab?  Only one problem, they’re not on the list of  standard technology available for purchase by KS.

Don’t worry, Emerging Tech Funds will once again be available beginning in late August. Submit a request through the ETF and you could pilot that technology in your class, this year.  Not only do you get to see if really is a good as you’d hoped, money from the fund will cover the cost of the purchase, if your request is approved.

Some of the technologies that were piloted last year, and as a result were added to the KS Standard list are iPads, Kindles, Mobi Student Response Systems,  Promethean Boards, Google Sites, and more, for education. For a complete list of KS Standard Technology go to the ITD portal at KSOnline and visit the Emerging Tech Fund Site or ask your campus ITS.
