‘Ohana Pilina from Uncle Ka’eo

Our class enjoyed learning about the work of a builder when Uncle Ka’eo, Ke’aloilani’s Dad, came in and shared with us. We were excited to see some of his work tools and hear about the different projects he has done in our Kaiaulu. I learned that he helped build the play-court at Kaumana Elementary- I remember that going up when my daughter was in kindergarten there! What a small world! The keiki enjoyed designing a tile that Uncle Ka’eo glazed. We hope you can find a way to use them at home!

Job Sharing from ‘Ohana in our Kaiaulu

Tyler’s dad, Uncle Jason came in to share about his job as a 911 dispatcher. We learned that he has a very important job, helping people who are hurt or have pilikia in our community. Uncle Jason works very hard and gets other workers in our kaiaulu, like the police and firefighters to help him help the people who call 911. We know that is a number to only use when you need it. Mahalo Uncle Jason!

More ‘Ohana Visitors

Kindergarten was fortunate again to learn about the jobs our families do in our kaiaulu.  A while back Dylan’s mom, Aunty Jillian shared with us the beauty of giving flowers.  Mahalo for the mini vases and flowers provided to make our own arrangements!  This past week Shania’s Grammy and Papa came to share their jobs as phone technicians.  We saw and learned that it only requires two wires to set up a phone connection. We are so grateful to our ‘ohana members!  Mahalo for helping in our community!
