TGIF! It’s the beginning of Cycle 4. Can you believe it? Get out your camping gear, because we’re going camping next week. In Math, we’re learning about data and graphs. Don’t forget to study for our first quiz of the year which will be next Tuesday. Here are highlights for this cycle:<\/p>\n

Day 1, Sept. 6<\/strong>-Today we went over the vocabulary for 2-3 and 2-4. We also shared our Math in the News.
\nHomework<\/strong>: p.72 #6-24 even, p.76 #5-14 All Due Day 2<\/p>\n

Day 2, Sept. 9<\/strong>-Today we will have 45 minute classes, because after lunch we’ll be learning how to put up and take down our tents for imu workshop. In Math we will learn how to use spreadsheets to organize data. Also, we’ll review for the math quiz about lessons 2-1 to 2-5.

Day 3, Sept. 10<\/strong>-Today we will take a Checkpoint Quiz on lessons 2-1 to 2-5. Also, we will learn about stem-and-leaf plots.
\nHomework<\/strong>: p.82 #6-24 even; p.85 Checkpoint Quiz 1; 1st Quarter Math goal and action plan Due Day 6<\/p>\n

Day 4, Sept. 11<\/strong>-Today we will go to our Imu Workshop Prep. field trip. No core classes! We will gather pohaku for the imu and do various service projects. If you can, bring ti leaves tomorrow so we can use them when we make laulau at imu workshop.

Day 5, Sept. 12<\/strong>-Today we will go to Imu Workshop. We will prepare the imu, light it, and put the pig inside. We will also share what we did at our service activity and hopefully do some stargazing.

Day LN, Sept. 13<\/strong>-Today we will take the pig out of the imu and make kalua pig. It will be an ono lunch. Take good notes, because you will use your notes the following week in Social Studies.

Day 6, Sept. 16<\/strong>-Today we will set goals for the year that will be shared at parent-student-teacher conference. We will also learn about misleading graphs and statistics and review for Checkpoint Quiz 2.
